First official live album

Kirk Fletcher has just completed his first live recording  “Kirk Fletcher – Burning Blues” Live at the Baked Potato. It was recorded over two different night’s at the Baked Potato in Studio City California.

First night recorded in a trio context. And the second as a quartet.  Kirk paid  homage to many  of his early musical influences.  The trio setting for the first night was Lemar Carter on drums and Travis Carlton on bass.

The second night was a quartet with Lemar Carter on drums, Calvin Turner on bass and Jeff Babko on rhodes and organ. They reworked some of Kirk Fletcher’s tunes and played some classic’s by Freddie King, Bobby Womack RIP and Stevie Ray Vaughan!

At this point  release will be in mid to late September 2014. Further information to follow.

From Hollywood with Love

Musicians Institute (MI), and Norman’s Rare Guitars are proud to announce “From Hollywood with Love,” a concert to benefit the 100th Anniversary of downtown Los Angeles homeless charity, The Midnight Mission. Hitting the stage at MI’s Concert Hall in Hollywood on Saturday, January 11th, 2014, the event will be hosted by comedian Kevin Nealon (Saturday Night Live, Weeds); and will feature performances from an all-star cast of guitar greats including Robben Ford, Joe Bonamassa, Ritchie Sambora, Jason Sinay, Jimmy Vivino, Tony Galla, Kirk Fletcher, Grant Geissman, Jimmy Earl, Del Casher, and more surprise acts to be announced.

New Albums & Tour Coming in 2014

I just finished recording a long awaited live album–due out beginning of 2014–with a group of players I’ve enjoyed playing with over the last couple years. I also had the pleasure of working with one of my musical hero’s, Jimmy Haslip (former bass player for the Yellow Jacket’s), on a recording project. I will also be in the studio soon recording my next studio record.

You can catch me at the Baked Potato December 10. A Bay Area tour is tentatively set for the middle of February.

2014 will find Kirk Fletcher full steam ahead with his own band!
